Kendall R. Phillips is Professor at Syracuse University, USA, and holds honorary positions at Shanghai University and Massey University, New Zealand. He has published extensively on popular culture and horror, including, the Bram Stoker-nominated Dark Directions: Romero, Carpenter, Craven and the Modern Horror Film (2012) and A Place of Darkness: The Rhetoric of Horror in Early American Cinema (2018).
