Maria Inês Castro e Silva is a permanent Teaching Fellow in Modern Languages in the University of Birmingham, UK. Her research is focused on Portuguese film, postcolonial studies, urban studies and Portuguese popular culture. She has taught in different universities in the United Kingdom and Ireland, including Queen's University Belfast (2014-2017), National University of Ireland, Maynooth (2016-2017), and The University of Warwick (2017-2020).
