Cristina Dâmboeanu is a senior researcher at the Social Europe Research Laboratory (SERL), Institute of Sociology, Romania. She is currently involved in research on media representation of WW2. The most recent study focuses on media coverage of Victory Day, as depicted by the main Romanian newspapers, in three different periods: immediately after WW2 (1945-1946), in the first years of communism (1947-1950), and in post-communism respectively (after 1990).
