Jaipreet Virdi is Associate Professor of History at the University of Victoria, Canada. Her research focuses on the ways medicine and technology impact the lived experiences of disabled people. She is author of two books: Hearing Happiness: Deafness Cures in History (2020) and Echoes of Care: Deafness in Modern Britain (2024).
