Biography

Thomas Larson is a journalist, book and music critic, and memoirist based in San Diego, USA. He is the author of Spirituality and the Writer: A Personal Inquiry (2019), The Sanctuary of Illness: A Memoir of Heart Disease (2014), The Saddest Music Ever Written: The Story of Samuel Barber’s ‘Adagio for Strings’ (2010), and The Memoir and the Memoirist: Reading and Writing Personal Narrative (2007). He is a twenty-five-year staff writer of longform and investigative journalism for the San Diego Reader, a former faculty member in the Ashland (Ohio) University MFA Program, and an editor at Wandering Aengus Press.
