Description
In this young middle grade series with charming black and white illustrations, a girl from a spooky family wonders what it would be like to be friends with her very normal new neighbor.
Greta Grimsdark lives in a haunted castle at the edge of a dreary forest. Her parents are dragons, called Mumsy and Pops. She has three brothers: Zombert (who is part zombie), Gothrick (who is likely a vampire), and Hauntsley (who is definitely a ghost). Greta is not a dragon or zombie or a vampire or a ghost. She's something even scarier… a human child.
Her eerie life changes when a normal new neighbor, Agnes, moves across the street. Suddenly Greta is faced with very human problems, like figuring out how to make friends and what to do when she feels jealous. And can she and her new friend pass a friendship test as the stakes get bigger and more scary than spooky?
This series aimed at 7 to 10 year olds is spooky, funny, and easy to read, with charming black-and-white illustrations throughout!
