Faith Phillips, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, is a novelist, screenwriter, and producer. She previously taught Creative Writing to students in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She is the author of the supernatural thriller Ezekiel’s Wheels (2013), the memoir essay collection It’s Not That Hard To (2016), and the true crime book Now I Lay Me Down (2018), and the writer and executive producer of the docuseries The Girl Scout Murders (2022). When she’s not writing screenplays, Phillips travels the national speaking circuit telling stories about teaching, writing, and producing in Indian Country. In addition to writing for the screen, Faith launched the non-profit initiative, Beyond the Trail, where she and fellow activists are building a vibrant arts and cultural district in their community. Phillips lives with her family on the Cherokee reservation in the Ozark foothills.
