José M. Faraldo is Professor of Contemporary History at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He is the author of Europe, Nationalism, Communism (2008). He is also the editor of Collapsed Empires: The Consequences of 1917 in the Mediterranean and the World (2020) and the co-editor of Interacting Francoism: Entanglement, Comparison and Transfer between Dictatorships in the 20th Century (2023).
