Rosie Findlay is a Lecturer in Media at City University of London, UK. She is a feminist media studies scholar who has published widely on her two key research areas: fashion media and communication in the 21st century; and the intersection of dress, feeling and culture. She is co-editor of Insights on Fashion Journalism (2022), co-editor of the International Journal of Fashion Studies and author of Personal Style Blogs: Appearances that Fascinate (2017). Her research has been published in journals including Feminist Theory, Communication, Culture and Critique, and Australian Feminist Studies. Rosie has also written about fashion for non-academic audiences, having published in titles such as Electra Magazine, Vogue Australia, and Vestoj and the National Gallery of Victoria’s 2020 'Triennial' catalogue. In April 2023, Granta published her essay, ‘Sartorial Misdirection’.
