Yaron Shyldkrot is Lecturer in Scenography and Design-led Performance at the University of Leeds, UK. He is a practitioner-researcher, performance maker and the co-convenor of the Intermediality in Theatre & Performance Research Working Group at the International Federation for Theatre Research (IFTR) (2021 –). His research and artistic work explore the blurriness between natural and artificial, relationships with technology and each other, and the edges of sound and vision. As a theatre-maker, he has been involved in numerous performances, installations, workshops and projects that have been presented in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Spain and Croatia. His research has been published in Studies in Theatre and Performance, Theatre and Performance Design, Avatars, Activism and Postdigital Performance (Methuen Drama, 2021), and Contemporary Performance Lighting (Methuen Drama, 2022).
